"An Apology for Lateness" (to the tune of "Back Home Again In Indiana")
We're back home again in Indiana!
And my fans, I'm so sorry
that I did not update
the blog of late
so you could keep track of me.
The life back here
has been so hectic
with 4-H and Summer P.E.
When I think about how much I have to do still
How I long to go back West and be...
Yeah I'm sorry I'm just getting to a conclusion to the Yellowstone Summer Trip of Dreams, but if you had eight 4-H projects, you wouldn't find a lot of free time either.
We finally arrived at La Casa Arnold around 8:30pm, just in time to watch the tail end of the Women's World Cup Final. Fear not, I was aided by a wifi hotspot, Dad's laptop, and a beautiful thing called Fox Sports Live Streaming, so I was able to see the entire game. Really, it was over in the first 15 minutes. Carli "All I Do Is Score" Lloyd put one in the back of the net before 5 minutes was up. Then she scored again. Then Lauren Holliday scored. (she's a Hoosier!) Then Carli Lloyd scored again, which gives her a hat trick, and makes the US vs. Japan World Cup Final the highest scoring final, men or women, in the history of FIFA. I don't know if you noticed, but a 0-0 tie is a perfectly acceptable score in the Great Game of Soccer, so a 5-2 win is a little bit unheard of. A lot unheard of. Like it still blows my mind thinking about it. I guess that's what happens when 'Merica plays soccer on 4th of July weekend.
I think I'm going to miss keeping a blog. I got a ton of great feedback from everyone. I hope you enjoyed reading along, and I'm sorry you couldn't come with us. (However, I get the feeling you didn't want to be part of the Alpha Tent Debacle.) Anyway, this is me, signing off. I had a great time West and I had just as much fun writing about it!
Thanks and May the Force Be With You,
Bridget Arnold!
